Epik Finds the Right Formula and Delivers Yet Another Successful Crossover Collaboration

Epik, the leading global agency that works with games and brands has delivered yet another successful crossover collaboration, giving both fans and brands a whole other dimension to their favorite games. Epik’s latest project brings together a legendary Japanese superhero in UTRAMAN and one of the most popular mobile games in the world, Arena of Valor.

Crossover Collaborations — A Specialty For Epik

Crossover collaborations are a new way for games to engage existing fans while giving brands the opportunity to capture a once untapped market for their brand or product. Epik accomplishes this for their clients by placing the brand/celebrity/product in the game which offers both users and fans a totally new immersive experience.

Epik has found the perfect formula for such collaborations, with many successful projects under their belt including collaborations with musicians Hayley Kiyoko, Chantel Jeffries, and Blasterjaxx among many others.

Through their experience, Epik has learned exactly how effective such collaboration events are at generating excitement around a game and product. Whatever form the collaboration takes, fans and users are clearly enthused by the prospect of being able to play their favorite TV/movie characters as interactive elements in their favorite RPG game, your favorite pop star as the heroine of a top-selling RPG or even just to see your favorite celebrity digitized and turned to a gif.

The benefits of such events to brands/celebrities/products are also significant as it gives them access to a whole new market of potential fans. Additionally, brands receive a plethora of new merchandising opportunities through these collaborations, with Epik also able to produce bespoke digital merchandise and blockchain digital collectibles that are tailor-made from partnerships between global brands and digital platforms.

The agency boasts over 350 game company clients including half of the Top 25 game companies in both the world. Along with top game companies, Epik also represents the likes of Universal Music’s artists, and top brands such as Warner, Sony, DMG, Hello Kitty, and Lamborghini just to name a few. With a client list such as this, expect many more exciting collaborations to come from Epik.

Two Giants Of Their Genres Team Up For Special Collaboration

Epik’s latest project is a crossover unites the universes from Ultraman and Arena of Valor. The collaboration between the two brands started on October 31st and will continue until November 27th. Players are rewarded with a free ULTRAMAN skin to use for the hero Florentino while the skin of SEVEN will be given away through a lucky draw for the hero Ryoma. Apart from the skins, there are also plenty of events and challenges related to the collaboration that players can sink their teeth in.

Ultraman is a legend in Japanese Anime and Manga with its origins dating back over 50 years. It is part of the Ultra Series launched by Tsubraya Productions and is considered the franchise’s first tokusatsu hero — the Japanese term for live-action film or tv drama that makes significant use of special effects, a genre first popularized in Japan. More recently, the series was revived as an Anime and became the #1 anime show on Netflix last season.

AoV is the #1 MOBA game played on mobile devices published by Garena and is popular all around the world but most especially in Asia. The game’s popularity in the region is evidenced by the fact that it was listed as an official event in the 2018 Asian Games and the 2019 South East Asian Games. As of April 2020, the game has accumulated over 200 million users and is available to download in almost 150 countries.
